friends, romans, countrymen, welcome to the blog of i, emilymews, illustrator, procrastinator and out of work actor. i realise that probably the only people reading this will be friends, as from where i stand romans and countrymen are looking pretty thin on the ground. i’m not one to discriminate, however, so welcome to you all! i have once again caved in to peer pressure and decided to start up a blog (blog is the new black!) even going as far as deleting the history of my old blog which, as my former readers will know, was a sad day of loss for wordpress. spring is springing, and i’m feeling rather out with the old and in with the new, so to speak, so here i am with a snazzy new page, having a bit of spring clean with my life and where i’m going with it, as a thing. i’m hoping to use this blog as a kind of poncy cyber sketchbook where i can write about what is inspiring me, and what i’m thinking, and maybe it will force me to get scribblin’. which leads me to my little declaration- i, emilymews, am hereby pledging to post at least one piece of my ownoriginal illustration work every week. there! the deed is done! in the words of the immortals, there’s no turning back! cyberspace is eternal, and all that jazz. i’m off to try and get back to my house now, but i shall be seeing you soon! p.s- yes, kirsty, i do intend to write the entire thing in lower case. because i love you.
