cakes! wonderful little cakies have featured majorly in my top magical moments this week, due to the discovery of the waitrose patisserie…such beautiful little biscuits and cup cakes and creamy creations! ooh, i could buy them all just to look at!
charity shops
i love a good charity shop hunt, and this week i returned to my home town of eastleigh for a rummage and found some wonderful treasures! you can find such unusual little trinkets in charity shops that, with the current vogue of all things ‘quirky” and vintage, would cost you a pretty penny in places like topshop.

ooh, my room i lovely at the moment. it’s all light and airy in the day and cosy cosy at night with my canopy and fairy lights. too bad it smells like hedgehog poo…

cabin fever
i am going stir crazy! i have been out of any kind of routine for far too long, just bumming around trying to do work and getting frustrated when i get nowhere…i long for education! then again, i am terrified of the unknown factor as i am transferring to portsmouth uni straight in to the second year…what if i can’t find my way around? what if i can’t cope with the work? what if i don’t make any friends? ach, damn it! roll on, october, you scary, scary month!
chubby chubby chubby!!
oh dear, i had a photo shoot the other day with my lovely friend pabs and somehow seeing myself blown up on a huge LCD screen really highlighted my chubby arms and legs and just made me look plain wide! it’s the kind of thing that doesn’t bother me too much on the day to day, but when stood in highly unflattering poses next to my very lean companion, it was quite horrific. gah!
creative blocks
as i am justifying not working this summer by trying to swot up for next year and attempting to keep practicing and improving as an illustrator, it is incredibly frustrating when i can’t seem to progress as i would like. i spent two days solid on one image that has ended up poorly executed, scruffy and incredibly derivative. bleh! i wish i had some direction. i just hope i can deliver when it comes to the crunch!
