magic monday #3
oh, ho, ho it’s magic!:
going to london!
last monday, i had a looovely time in london with stephen stocking up at the london graphics centre, wandering around covent garden and looking at property in wandsworth for him. he bought me a cup cake at candy cakes, and it looked like this!

so yeah! we bumped in to patrick wolf in marks and spencers in london waterloo! it was great, i followed him around and smiled at him like a goon and he gave me a lovely big grin! here is a sneaky snap i got…
my new graphics tablet!
i got a looovely new graphics tablet when in london as i thought i should probably get with the times and my other one was shin bags. it has very groovy software, and here is a little deer i did with it…

i want to learn to shading and shi’ all properly, but its quite a sweet effect, methinks.
my friends!
they are beautiful, they are bitchin’ and i loves them!

magic monday #2

oh, ho, ho it’s magic!:
making gifts
as it is dear stephen’s birthday this week, and also the leaving do of some of sarah’s work friends, we had a lovely little card factory going on today whilst watching jumanji and wallace and gromit crafting up some cards and wrapping up pressies. oooh it’s exciting when you can potter around getting gifts that fit the person so you can’t wait to give them to them! i’d also like to saw a big thanks to george for his creative input, which i am sure will be much appreciated…
fun and games
ooh, i’ve had some lovely fun and games this week! i had a lovely cosy dinner back at my mums with stephen, after which we played scrabble like old dears. marvellous! i also had (as mentioned over on idlebacon) a crazy couple of hours in the common room throwing around an old kitchen roll tube, as well as a lovely sing song down at the karaoke. yes, i really am that easily amused.
live music
i miss going to gigs regularly, i guess now i really have kind of settled on firm musical favourites i am less interested in spending out on seeing bands i’m not that fussed about. however, i had a lovely time this week going on a jolly to brighton with craig and stephen to see the very talented elissa franceschi (http://www.myspace.com/elissafranceschi) with stephen playing guitar very fantastically. the gig was at the joogleberry playhouse and it reminded me of the wonderful atmosphere you can only get from seeing live music. must book some tickets for the coming months!
not so magical…
harry potter delays
naughty, naughty warner brothers! we all know you finished filming in may, and it does not take over a year to edit, so why oh blethering why are you making us wait till next june/july for the half-blood prince film? i planned my whole bally autumn around the november release! tut, tut, tut.
fines
stupid rail fines, rubbishy library fines, beastly student finance wanting money off me and ridiculous car parking fines all make me a very angry emilymews. i know a lot of them are my own fault, but it is terribly annoying when you are as feather headed and uselessly forgetful as i.
yeah, i couldn’t be bothered to make them all have the same letter this week, but there you go!
